Daniel Sturridge strike shortlisted for Goal of the Season

Daniel Sturridge’s wondergoal against Chelsea in September has made a shortlist for Premier League Goal of the Season, according to LiverpoolFC.com.

The England international has played a bit-part role for the Reds this season, though he started strongly and was a frequent scorer from the bench.

His goal at Stamford Bridge was memorable, as he curled a sumptuous effort past Kepa Arrizabalaga late on to rescue a point for Liverpool.

The goal won him the Premier League Goal of the Month award in September.

Sturridge is set to leave Liverpool this summer when his contract expires, with a host of clubs prepared to offer him a fresh start.
