Reds linked with move for PSV forward again

Reports have resurfaced that Liverpool are keen on signing PSV forward Steven Bergwijn this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his attacking options.

Manchester Evening News report that both Liverpool and Manchester United are eager to bring Bergwijn to the Premier League, but must overcome the likes of Ajax and Inter Milan to do so.

Bergwijn would certainly fit in well at Liverpool, with eye-catching pace and quick feet his trademarks when going forward.

His side PSV are second in the Eredivisie behind leaders Ajax and will likely finish there due to their inferior goal difference, despite being just three points off the top.

Bergwijn’s agent Fulco Van Kooperen recently stated that the Dutch side have no option but to accept that the player will move on this summer.

“If you are selling a house, I don’t think you say no to a buyer in advance,” said Kooperen.

“It’s not the case that PSV will determine where Steven will be going this summer. He will choose a club if he wants a transfer.”
