Roberto Firmino set to be available for Champions League final

Jurgen Klopp has received a further boost with the news that Roberto Firmino will be fit to face Spurs in the Champions League final on June 1, according to Metro.

The news comes on the back of Andy Robertson’s expected return to fitness in time for the crunch match against Tottenham, with the Scotland captain likely to play against Wolves on Sunday too.

Firmino missed the semi-final second leg against Barcelona, in which Liverpool ran out rampant 4-0 winners.

Robertson picked up a calf injury after colliding with Suarez in the same game, but both Reds stars are expected to line up against Mauricio Pochettino’s side in Madrid next month.

The only player Klopp will be without for the final is Naby Keita, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Having Firmino and Robertson available will be welcome news to both the manager and supporters of Liverpool, as the two have become integral to the Reds since their arrival on Merseyside.
