Alberto Moreno agrees to join Villarreal

Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno has agreed to join Villarreal upon the expiration of his contract at the end of June, according Marca.
The 26-year-old’s time at Anfield is set to come to an end what his current deal runs out at the end of the month, and the defender has subsequently agreed to join the La Liga side on a free transfer.
Moreno signed for Liverpool from Sevilla in 2014 under Brendan Rodgers but has seen his inclusion in the first team squad increasingly limited in recent seasons, making just nine appearances in the last campaign.

The emergence of Andy Robertson coupled with Moreno’s sometimes lax approach to defending led him to fall down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp, and the Spaniard has opted to look for regular football elsewhere.
His representatives have reportedly agreed a deal with Villarreal to take the defender back to his homeland at the start of July, marking the end of his time as Liverpool player.
