De Ligt’s agent narrows transfer destinations down to Liverpool and PSG

Mino Raiola, agent of Matthijs de Ligt, wants his client to move to either Liverpool or Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Sport.

The Ajax captain has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, but Bild reported yesterday that a move to Liverpool could still be on the cards for the centre-back.

And today, Catalan newspaper Sport say that the Reds have indeed joined PSG in the tussle for the Netherlands international’s signature.

De Ligt is valued at over £60million and any club wanting to sign him would need to break the bank to do so.

Transfer progress for Manchester United and Barcelona appears to have been hampered by Raiola’s fee, which is believed to be 20 per cent commission of the total amount.

The agent believes only Liverpool and PSG are now viable options for De Ligt, with Barcelona and United not able to meet his standards.
