Liverpool “fast approaching” deal for €80million winger

Liverpool are moving closer to an agreement with Lille for winger Nicolas Pepe, according to Sport Witness.

Pepe is one of several players who has been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield in recent weeks, with the 24-year-old catching the eye throughout the campaign just past.

The attacker managed 22 goals and 11 assists for the French side last season, and is valued at €80million as a result.

A number of other club around Europe, including Tottenham, are eager to secure the French-Ivorian’s signature this summer.

Liverpool are, however, reportedly now leading the race, with the club closing in on a figure that would be acceptable to Lille.

French outlet L’Equipe claim the Reds are “very hot” on Pepe and a deal is “fast approaching” for the winger.
