Real Betis pondering summer move for Liverpool attacker

Real Betis are preparing to swoop for Liverpool forward and Champions League hero Divock Origi, according to the Daily Mail.

The Belgian is currently contemplating whether or not he’ll extend his stay at Anfield ahead of next season, though he’s expected to sign a new deal before the 2019/20 campaign begins.

However, Spanish side Real Betis have identified the 24-year-old as a potential star signing and are considering making an offer for him.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Betis will approach Liverpool soon in the hopes of striking a deal for the forward, who scored in the Champions League final to secure the Reds’ sixth European Cup.

Origi played 20 times last season under Jurgen Klopp, who hopes the striker will put pen to paper on a contract extension this summer.

Betis are currently unwilling to match Origi’s current salary but the prospect of regular first-team football could be enough to lure the Belgian away from Anfield nevertheless.
