Reds midfielder set for 12-month contract extension
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is to be offered a 12-month contract extension by Liverpool after the midfielder returned to full fitness, according to the Evening Standard.
The 25-year-old picked up a serious knee injury during Liverpool’s semi-final clash against Roma in April 2018 and was ruled out for the majority of the 2018/19 campaign.
However, the England international has now returned to full fitness and is set to take part in Liverpool’s pre-season preparations from next month.

Neither Liverpool or Oxlade-Chamberlain’s representatives are in a rush to agree new terms, with both sides aware that the player’s position is safe and he’s highly-rated by Jurgen Klopp
Any new deal would mean ‘Ox’ will remain at Anfield until 2023, where he’s set to become an even more important cog in Klopp’s title-chasing machine.
