Liverpool ask FIFA to investigate tapping-up of young star

Liverpool have raised concerns to FIFA that young star Bobby Adekanye was tapped up by a foreign club, according to the Echo.
The striker made the switch to Lazio this week after his Liverpool contract expired and no deal for an extension was agreed upon.
The Reds received £240,000 for the 20-year-old after he spent four years at the club since his arrival from Barcelona in 2015.

It was reported in December by the Echo that Lazio and Adekanye were in talks over a summer move after the forward chose not to sign a new Liverpool deal, which the Serie A side denied.
However, the Reds hierarchy believes the youngster was approached illegally by Lazio, with players under 23 years of age not allowed to speak to other clubs while still under contract.
Liverpool have asked FIFA to investigate the matter further.
