The 21-year-old midfielder is up for sale with interest from a number of Championship sides.

Three summers ago, a then 18-year-old Ovie Ejaria was Liverpool’s breakthrough youngster during pre-season, first catching the eye against Tranmere and quickly turning becoming one of the club’s most hyped young prospects.

It led to a couple of first team appearances that season, but it’s probably fair to say Ejaria’s stock has never been higher than it was for a month back in the summer of 2016. And now, the club have reportedly set an asking price for him.

According to Goal’s Neil Jones, Liverpool are hoping to get around £3M for the now 21-year-old midfielder they poached from the Arsenal academy back in 2014, and there are a handful of Championship clubs who are interested.

Brentford currently appear frontrunners, and while Reading have also been linked with a move for Ejaria, they had been seeking a loan of the player and Liverpool would prefer a permanent sale—which would include a sell-on fee.

Ejaria, not seen as a contender for Liverpool’s first team, has not seen action during pre-season. If he were to remain, he would play with the U23s this season. He has previous had loan spells at Sunderland, Reading, and Rangers.
