Werner delivers update on Anfield Road End expansion

Liverpool CEO Tom Werner says the club are continuing to work out the best approach to further redeveloping Anfield stadium.
FSG want to increase the capacity of the Anfield Road End in order to help the club accommodate ever-increasing demand for tickets.
“We are still analysing the opportunity to build on Anfield Road,” said Werner. “I think that we are trying to figure it out.

“When we went forward with the Main Stand expansion, which I’m very proud about, we obviously wanted to do it right so we were quiet about it.
“In a perfect world we will be able to figure this out.”
On Liverpool winning the Champions League, Werner added: “This is the start of a resurgence. I don’t look at this as a pinnacle.
“We are focused on this year have a lot to accomplish. We are focused on next month and the Community Shield.
“We know we have formidable competition, but hopefully we will win the Premier League this season and it will be another great chapter.
“We’d like to win as many trophies this year as possible. What we want to do is honour the relationship we have with our fans by creating memories.
“We are all going in the same direction and we also want to be good in the community. We know what the meaning is for Liverpool to all our supporters.”
