New Signing Adrián to Wear Number 13 for Liverpool

The ex-West Ham stopper keeps the number he wore for his former club.
Following the departure of Simon Mignolet for Club Brugge, Liverpool have made their first senior signing of the summer, bringing in ex-West Ham goalkeeper Adrián on a free to serve as backup to star starter Alisson Becker.
The 32-year-old veteran appears the best possible signing the club could have made to fill the role, and while his minutes will likely be limited to the domestic cups, we now know that he will wear the number 13 for Liverpool.

The traditional goalkeeper number is the one Adrián wore at West Ham, and with Alisson vacating it in favour of his preferred number one over the summer, it was free for Adrián to take up upon joining his new club.
As such, the club were quick to announce that the Spanish shot stopper would be wearing 13—starting on Friday when he will be expected to make the bench for the league opener against Norwich City.
His first appearance could come mid-week against Chelsea in the Supercup—or, failing that, he could get his debut when Liverpool enter the League Cup in the third round on the week of September 23rd.
