Juventus to challenge Liverpool for Ugurcan Cakir

According to Turkish newspaper Gunes, via the Daily Post, Liverpool need to be wary of competition from Juventus as they eye a move for Ugurcan Cakir.
They report that the Reds are tracking Cakir and that while they hold an interest in the Turkish 23-year-old, Juventus are also keen on adding him to their ranks next summer.
A deal to sign Cakir would reportedly cost around €30million (£26.9m) which is quite expensive for a backup goalkeeper.
Liverpool signed Adrian in the summer and recently handed Andrew Lonergan on a short term contract to help cope with the calf injury that Alisson Becker sustained against Norwich City in the first game of the Premier League season.
While Jurgen Klopp could also recall Loris Karius from loan, it seems far more likely that he would keep faith with Adrian who is doing reasonably well in Alisson’s absence even if he gifted a goal to Danny Ings at St. Mary’s.
The Spaniard, however, will be 33 by the time the next summer transfer window swings around and it might be that Liverpool decide to recruit a younger back up to Alisson in Ugurcan Cakir.
Such a decision isn’t exactly urgent as there is still the better part of a year left until Klopp and co. will discuss whether or not to make a move for the Turk.
