Liverpool suspend betting partnership due to legal proceedings

1XBET

Liverpool’s betting partner 1XBET has been suspended as the club’s official betting partner as the company has had its UK license revoked due to the alleged posting of illegal content.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds have suspended their commercial deal with the betting company as investigations are launched into reported illegal betting campaigns.

1XBET reportedly allowed bets to be placed on cockfights and children’s sports as well as having advertisements shared on websites that “included the unlawful streaming of Premier League football.”

The betting firm has launched its own inquest as they have vehemently denied any knowledge of any wrongdoing, claiming they had no idea they were being promoted on websites with illegal streaming.

Liverpool have only been partnered with 1XBET since July but if reports are to be believed, this partnership could soon be over and the Reds will be hoping to avoid a fine for knowingly promoting an unlawful betting firm but that’s an unlikely situation.

Since the Merseyside outfit suspended its partnership with 1XBET, all promotional content linked with the gambling company has been removed from the club’s official website.

The partnership has been mutually suspended until the truth of the matter is brought to light.
