Mane: I struggle to describe how happy I am at Liverpool
Sadio Mane told Complex that he “really struggles” to explain how happy he is to be a Liverpool player which is like music to supporters’ ears.
The Senegal attacker was crucial in keeping Liverpool’s Premier League title race alive last season as the forward went through a purple patch, scoring 11 goals in 12 games.
Since joining Liverpool in 2016, Mane has gone from strength to strength and has developed into an elite finisher and all-round world-class operator.
He told Complex: “To be honest, I’m really happy to be a part of the club, the family here. We have the best fans in the world here, so I’m always so thankful for the support.
“It’s not just great for me too – it gives the whole squad more motivation to perform. It keeps us hungry to get better and better together… I really struggle to describe how happy I am to be here!”
After his angry outburst on the sidelines against Burnley, some fans were fearful that he might have thoughts of leaving Liverpool running through his mind but all fears have been eased with his comforting words.
If anything, his total happiness at Anfield is all down to the incredible job that Jurgen Klopp has done as manager of the football club, transforming the Reds into European Champions.
