Encouraging Mohamed Salah injury update
Mohamed Salah was the victim of a wild and dangerous tackle from Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury but is thankfully not seriously injured.
The Egyptian was flying down the right wing in the 90th minute before he was cynically and dangerously torn down by a high tackle from Choudhury.
Klopp said after the game that Salah was in pain after the game, lying on the floor of the dressing room.
The Mirror reports that while the Reds’ talisman isn’t 100% okay after the tackle, the former AS Roma flyer should be fit by the end of the international break.
It might be a blessing in disguise as Klopp can now be sure that Salah won’t be in the firing line during the international break and hopefully, a couple of weeks can help the 27-year-old return to his terrifying best form.
While he has scored and assisted nine goals in ten games this season, it seems as though Salah has been unable to unlock the best of his ability since the end of last season.
Liverpool face Manchester United in two weeks and Jurgen Klopp’s side will be hoping to have a fit and firing Salah ready to lead them to a ninth consecutive Premier League win this season.
