Liverpool must beat Manchester United to Timo Werner

The Express reports that Manchester United’s interest in Timo Werner has spiked and Liverpool must sign him to avoid their rivals being improved.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side has scored just 10 goals this season and is in desperate need of more goals and while Liverpool have the best front three in the world, they need more options from the bench.
Mohamed Salah missed the trip to Old Trafford and his absence cost the Reds majorly as they looked quite toothless without him.
Jurgen Klopp needs to keep an eye on Timo Werner this season and sign him to be the perfect backup to Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Salah.
His ability to play anywhere across the front three is arguably his greatest attribute but his pace, clinical finishing and ability to play as a lone striker are all very valuable as well.
Transfermarkt value him at £58million which is quite hefty considering he wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter but he would take the Reds to a similar level to Manchester City in terms of squad depth.
