Kai Havertz prefers Real Madrid over Liverpool

According to El Desmarque, Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz would prefer a move to Real Madrid over Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 20-year-old is a fantastic midfielder and has set the whole of Europe abuzz with his dominant presence in the attacking third but if Spanish news outlet El Desmarque is to be believed, the Reds aren’t his first choice.
Currently plying his trade with Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, Havertz would prefer a move to Real Madrid when he eventually leaves Germany.
While it’s understandable that each player has his own dream club, given the current power rankings in Europe, Liverpool should be every top player’s preference.
Jurgen Klopp has shown over the last 16 months that he is the best coach in the world and seems to be the only one that can pretty much guarantee domestic and continental success.
The Reds are top of the Premier League, eight points clear of Leicester City and Chelsea and nine clear of Manchester City, as well as being the current Champions League champions.
Missing out on Havertz would be a disappointment but Klopp prefers his midfielders to be more conservative and reserved in their approach to allow the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson the chance to bomb forward in support of the front three.
This worked to deadly effect against Manchester City as Trent played a superb cross-field ball to Robbo, who delivered the match-winning cross for Mohamed Salah to fire home.
Havertz would likely cost an arm and a leg but his signature hardly seems like a necessity as things stand.
