Reported Liverpool target is Real Madrid-bound in the eyes of Monaco figure

Kylian Mbappe.

Monaco’s vice president Vadim Vasilyev believes Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is destined to become a Real Madrid player in the future.

Liverpool have been linked with the PSG superstar in recent months, but Jurgen Klopp did deny that the Reds had any serious interest in the forward due the price he would cost.

Vasilyev was a key figure in authorising Mbappe’s departure from Monaco to PSG, and he believes that it is only a matter of time until Real Madrid make the move for the youngster.

“Kylian will join Real Madrid, I do not know when, but it seems inevitable,” Vasilyev has told Le Parisien.

“The club is very important in his life. Madrid had a more interesting offer than PSG in 2017 but he told me he that thought it was too early to leave France, and Paris was his home.

“He wanted to become a great player in France as he would have plenty of time and that showed Kylian’s intelligence – he is now the best player in France and PSG have enough finances to keep him.”
