Rumour Mongering: Dortmund Want January Bidding War for Jadon Sancho

According to the rumour mongers, the Bundesliga club are now willing to sell before the summer.
The expectation had been that Jadon Sancho would move on from Borussia Dortmund next summer, with the German club expecting to sell the player back to England for £100M-plus and the player content to see out the season with them.
Now, though, with reports that the relationship between club and player has begun to sour there are now rumours in the less scrupulous corners of the English media claiming that Dortmund want to move him on sooner—and want a bidding war.
Liverpool were recently and somewhat reliably linked with Sancho by David Ornstein in The Athletic, who claimed Sancho had narrowed things down to Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Barcelona—or three big clubs and United.
Now, the suggestion is that United and Liverpool are his most likely destinations, and that Dortmund are hoping the two clubs’s desire to sign him before the other will help to push his sale price even higher. Of course, for now it’s all rather speculative.
Still, Liverpool have been reliably linked and Sancho fits the template of the sort of player the club is expected to sign in 2020, so keep your ears and eyes open in case a more reliable source than The Mail or Express pick up on this one.
