Sadio Mane provides reaction to Jurgen Klopp signing new deal

Reds forward Sadio Mane has revealed his delight in regards to Jurgen Klopp signing a new managerial deal at Anfield.

Klopp signed the new contract, which will see him stay at Liverpool until 2024, a few weeks back.

Mane, who was signed by Klopp in 2016 from Southampton for a fee of £34 million, has turned into one of the best players in the world under the German.

Mane was considered inconsistent at Southampton, but now under Klopp, he is arguably the first name on the teamsheet.

The Senegal international believes Klopp is the best in the business.

“It was a really good day for the club!” Mane said of Klopp’s new deal, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“I was delighted to see all the signings and we are really happy to have the boss and his assistants here for a longer time.

“I would struggle to describe just how good and how successful he has been for Liverpool . Everybody can see what he has done for this club, for this city and the quality he has as a manager.

“There are a lot of good managers in Europe but what I can say is that our manager always has the right words and the right things to manage his team, especially knowing how to deal with his team.

“I would always trust his influence on the team. He is a winner and I would say he is the best in the world.”

Mane’s reaction is how many associated with the club felt when the news filtered through. What Liverpool have achieved under Klopp thus far has been extraordinary.

The Reds have claimed the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup under his guidance.

The club is also in a very good position to claim a maiden Premier League title this season. Liverpool are 13 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.

Much of this success has stemmed from the recruitment under the German. With Klopp signing until 2024, there is a real sense that trophies will continue to be won at Liverpool Football Club. Liverpool are playing on a different level to everyone else in world football as of right now.
