Jordan Henderson is in awe of Liverpool forward

Reds captain Jordan Henderson has lauded Roberto Firmino’s performance against Southampton at Anfield yesterday.

Liverpool defeated Southampton 4-0 in the Premier League thanks to goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Salah and Henderson.

The victory against the Saints gives the Reds a 22-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Firmino may not have scored, but Anfield’s No. 9 was responsible for assisting three of Liverpool’s goals.

Henderson was very impressed with the Brazilian’s performance, which saw the captain give his teammate some praise after the match.

“Some of the stuff he does is madness really!” Henderson told the LiverpoolFC.com.

“But he’s another outstanding player for us and it was another big performance from him.

“Especially in the second half, everyone put in a really good performance. We’re just really delighted to get the three points, especially going into the break now.”

Everything Henderson said is spot on. The Brazilian is a world-class footballer, and there is no one who could replace him at Anfield right now.

Firmino’s performance against the Saints is a reminder of just how he makes everyone around him better. His selfless nature makes him the footballer he is, and with that being the case, he is adored right throughout the Liverpool fanbase.

When people discuss Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the future, Firmino will be one of the first names mentioned.
