Jurgen Klopp discusses the consistency that his Liverpool team have shown this season

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has stated that he has never seen a team as consistent as the Liverpool side he is currently managing.

Liverpool defeated Southampton 4-0 in the Premier League at Anfield yesterday thanks to goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah.

The victory against the Saints gives the Reds a 22-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool have only dropped points in one Premier League fixture this season, which was the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October 2019.

Klopp has stated that he has never seen a team in his time involved with football as consistent as the side he has created at Anfield.

“I have never seen it, to be honest,” Klopp said in response to a question about Liverpool’s consistency, as quoted by LiverpoolFC.com.

“If I was asking from the outside, I would ask the same questions. Maybe other people would feel different, but I can only say it doesn’t feel [like it].

“It’s not that I feel stronger and stronger and stronger after each win, it’s not like this. It is just one, great celebration – sometimes more, sometimes less – then relief, settle and go again.”

Many can relate with what Klopp is trying to say. It is difficult to remember a team that is as consistent as Klopp’s Liverpool.

They just don’t lose games. Accumulating 73 points after 25 matches is some achievement, and there is every chance Liverpool could break Premier League records come the end of the season.
