Liverpool’s youngster could be headed to Sheffield United

Liverpool seems to be finished bringing in new players this window and have moved on to getting players out of the club, either permanently or on loans. It appears that one player who could be on his way out is young striker Rhian Brewster, with Sheffield United being the most likely destination.

It’s being reported that the managers of the two clubs — Chris Wilder and Jurgen Klopp — have talked this week about the player. Brewster was left out of Liverpool’s squad on Thursday for the Carabao Cup tie against Lincoln Town. After the game Klopp was asked about this decision.

“It should not surprise you.” He told the media. “We don’t really speak about any transfer rumours. He was not in the squad, you can make of it what you want. We have nothing really to say. No news.”

It was reported that the two managers had spoken to each other earlier this week, with Wilder telling Klopp he wants to sign Brewster. On Friday Wilder told the media, “things need to happen from a negotiation point of view above me.”

Liverpool have put a £25m price tag on the forward. It’s also been reported that any sale must also include a buyback clause.
