Harry Wilson Reportedly On Verge of £12M Fulham Transfer
The 24-year-old Welsh winger is set to join Fulham on a permanent deal.
Following Marko Grujic’s move to FC Porto for £10.5M and Taiwo Awoniyi’s move to Union Berlin for £6.5M, it appears the next Liverpool squad player to depart this summer will be 24-year-old Welsh winger Harry Wilson.
According to multiple sources today, Wilson will become the first signing of the Marco Silva era at Fulham, with a £12M fee reportedly agreed and his unveiling at Craven Cottage said to be imminent.
Wilson joined the Reds at the U9 level and became a full academy member at the age of 15, at which point many believed the young Welshman was already well on his way to stardom. At 16, he made his senior debut for Wales, becoming Liverpool’s record youngest player to earn a senior international cap.
That early promise, though, never quite turned into opportunities for the Reds, with Wilson heading out on loan to Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth, and Cardiff City over the years.
In the seven years following the signing of his first professional contract with Liverpool and between those loan spells, Wilson would only make two senior appearances for the club. Hopefully he can find regular minutes at Fulham and take a step forward in his career as he enters his prime footballing years.
