The Leeds United player seems to be looking for a way out of his club.

We know it’s nearing the January transfer window when agent’s for wantaway players are suddenly claiming interest from several different clubs. This time it’s the impressive Leeds United winger Raphinha who has sparked interest.

The 24-year-old Brazilian has had an explosive start to the season, including a performance on Sunday that caught everyone’s attention. He’s only been with Leeds for a year following him signing a four-year contract with the club, so if the club decide they want to keep him, they are on strong ground.

Recently, his agent, former player Deco, confirmed Liverpool’s rumoured interest in the player.

“Raphinha became an important player in the Premier League, the club knows he has grown and things will happen naturally,” Deco told Globo Esporte .

“He is young, he has many challenges ahead, there are certainly several clubs that like him, and Liverpool do like him, there were approaches, but nothing official. Leeds wanted to keep him for another season.”

Raphinha is a fit for the Reds for many reasons. There are already three Brazilians on the team. Also, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah set to represent their countries this winter in the AFCON, a winger could be on the cards in the coming transfer window.

But whether Liverpool are truly interested or Deco is playing media games to help negotiate Raphinha a better contract remains to be seen.
