Eight Reds were in action for their national teams on Friday and Saturday, with Taylor Hinds getting her first ever action for Jamaica

The Liverpool FC Women have hit the first international break of the season. There were eight Reds in action for their national teams across the initial slate of games on Friday and Saturday.

Taylor Hinds surprised many be receiving a call up from the Jamaica national team after featuring for England at the youth levels. Hinds received her first senior team cap as she featured in a friendly against France. Hinds and the Reggae Girlz dropped a 3-0 result in Sochaux, France.

Olivia Smith also received a senior team call up for Canada. The young attacker was given a starting nod and played the first half against Spain in a match that finished in a 1-1 draw.

Fuka Nagano, who is a fixture for in the Japan midfield, started and played the first half against South Korea. Her side were leading 3-0 when Fuka was withdrawn. Japan would go on to win the match 4-0.

There were also several players involved win Euro’s qualification. Ceri Holland and Gemma Evans both started for Wales away to Slovakia. Holland, just recently returned from injury, played 64 minutes while Evans played the full match that ended in a 2-1 loss.

Jenna Clark and Scotland traveled to Hungary for their first fixture of the international window. Clark started and played the full match in a 1-0 win for the Scots.

Midfielder Marie Höbinger traveled with Austria to Slovenia. She played the full match in what resulted in a 3-0 win for her side.

Last, but certainly not least, where Leanne Kiernan and Niamh Fahey. The two Irish Reds started on the bench as Ireland took on Georgia. Kiernan came on as a substitute in the 75th minute with her side ahead 3-0. Ireland would go on to score 3 more goals to finish with a 6-0 win.
