Well this writer, for one, was not completely caught out by this early kickoff, nope. I was well on top of it, and did not need to rely on a mention from The Anfield Wrap about it. Nope. Definitely not me.
Anyway, the top-of-all-leagues Reds would continue to stay top with another win, regardless of other results. Indeed, there’s a chance that they could mathematically ensure their automatic advancement to the Round of 16 with a win. So, that sounds good and fun, and definitely something Liverpool should do. Slot will likely go strong, especially after the unexpected break on the weekend. However, they will be without Alexis Mac Allister, who is apparently universally hated by refs, and thus suspended in both leagues.
