Danny Ings Attracting Interest from Crystal Palace and West Ham

The Liverpool striker could be moved on this summer and if he does he will have Premier League suitors.

Liverpool’s striking options for 2018-19 look to be taking shape, with Roberto Firmino the certain first choice starter and Dominic Solanke and Rhian Brewster expected to remain at the club to provide depth.

Add in the flexibility of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané and another potential signing that can cover multiple positions including as a false nine striker and Jürgen Klopp’s options for the coming season will be set.

It’s a situation that doesn’t leave much room for Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, and Danny Ings. And in the case of Ings, there looks to be plenty of interest in the 25-year-old striker amongst Premier League clubs.

Crystal Palace have been linked with a move by The Times, with the London club in need of striker reinforcements, and while they appear tentative frontrunners they could yet see competition from West Ham.

Ings has two years left on his Liverpool deal and though Klopp clearly appreciates his work rate and willingness to do the dirty work up front, a string of injuries has kept him from developing at Liverpool.

If he is to ever play a key role somewhere, it’s time for the player to move on to a club that can give him regular starting minutes, and for his sake Palace or West Ham seem like they would be good landing spots.
