It is reported that Manchester City are also interested in the signature of Maguire, which no doubt gives Liverpool some competition.

It is also reported that Liverpool have interest in Jamaal Lascelles and James Tarkowski. Liverpool did struggle at times last season with injuries to key defenders, so Jurgen Klopp will be looking to add some depth.
