Loris Karius to be assessed by Jurgen Klopp
Jurgen Klopp will carefully review Loris Karius in the early days of pre-season to assess the goalkeeper’s mental state.
That’s according to Paul Joyce and The Times, who insists it is one of the Liverpool bosses main priorities.

Karius, 25, has kept a low profile since Liverpool lost their Champions League Final match 3-1 against Real Madrid in May.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to have Karius examined and in action as he assess the reaction of the Liverpool goalkeeper.
Liverpool are still keen on introducing another goalkeeper into the frame this summer but are not in the running for Leicester goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel or Dutch international, Jasper Cillessen.
Brazil and Roma No.1. Alisson Becker was Klopp preferred option, but his valuation and interest from Real Madrid has stalled any potential transfer
Karius was at fault for two of Madrid’s goals in Kiev but it was later ruled that the former Mainz player suffered a concussion after it appeared Sergio Ramo’s intentionally elbowed the player in the face just before a crucial mistake saw Karim Benzema give Madrid the lead.
According to Massachusetts General Hospital, Karius was physically examined and it was later confirmed that he had indeed suffered a concussion during the game on May 26.
The hospital’s statement read: “After carefully reviewing game film and integrating a detailed history – including his reported present and immediate post-contact subjective symptoms – physical examination and objective metrics, we have concluded that Mr. Karius sustained a concussion during the match May 26, 2018.
The German goalkeeper is a prolific user of several social media platforms, including Twitter and Instagram, but has stayed clear of posting on his personal profiles since May 27.
The Liverpool No.1. was seen in deep distress following the Champions League Final and took to social media to apologise to the fans the following day.
Haven’t really slept until now,” he wrote. “The scenes are still running through my head again and again.
“I’m infinitely sorry to my teammates, for you fans, and for all the staff.
I know that I messed it up with the two mistakes and let you all down.
“As I said I’d just like to turn back the time but that’s not possible.”
The Reds purchased Karius from German club Mainz 05 for £4.75million in May 2016
