ESPN pundit claims Liverpool’s season will be judged on one thing
ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop believes that Liverpool’s season will be judged on whether they challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.
Hislop believes that has to be the aim for the Merseyside club this season, and winning a trophy would be nothing more than a bonus.
“I don’t think anybody’s squad is stronger, including Liverpool’s, than Manchester City’s. That’s just the reality of the situation,” said Hislop on ESPN FC.
“Now, the thing for me is, yes Jurgen Klopp has spent a lot of money and I think he’s had quite a honeymoon period without bringing home silverware.”

Hislop believes if the Reds were to win some silverware then that would be the icing on the cake.
“Whether they can win a cup, the FA Cup or League Cup or whatever it may be, I think it’s icing on the cake,” said Hislop.
