Grujic wants to fight for his place at Anfield
Marko Grujic intends to remain at Liverpool and fight for his place after his expected loan move to Cardiff City failed to materialise, according to the Echo‘s James Pearce.
Grujic had been fully expected to return to Neil Warnock’s side, who he helped gain promotion in the latter part of the 2017/18 season, on a temporary basis and garner some valuable Premier League experience, but the deal is now off.
The Serb, though, has expressed his preference to stay put and attempt to show Jurgen Klopp what he’s capable of.

He was handed only one start last season before heading to South Wales, but he has been given important minutes during the club’s friendlies.
This season, the 22-year-old faces even more competition for a role in the Reds’ midfield in the wake of the summer arrivals of Fabinho and Naby Keita.
Should he fail to force a way into the manager’s plans, Pearce says a loan move to a European side is still a possibility.
