Andrew Robertson pleased with start, but is keeping a lid on everything
Andrew Robertson is pleased with the start Liverpool have made to the 2018-19 campaign, but he says nothing is won yet.
Liverpool have won seven from seven games in all competitions, and despite the expectations that come with a start like that, Robertson says the pressure will not get to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
“There may be noise outside the club and I know the fans are optimistic, but the players and staff are keeping their feet on the ground,” said Robertson, as quoted by The Mirror.
“You don’t win anything in August or September. You win trophies in April or May – and we have done nothing yet except win a couple of games. It is all irrelevant if we don’t keep going. We have some momentum behind us, but we can’t afford to let that drop.
“You go out to win every game. Winning breeds confidence throughout the place and hopefully we can continue that. We believe we can win every game because we can cause teams problems. But when we are not at 100%, we struggle.
“I’ve not been in a team this confident since the under-fives! All the lads have that confidence but it is about showing that confidence in the right way.”

Robertson also went on to say that Liverpool should be aiming to win all the competitions, rather than purely focussing on one or two.
“Whatever competition we are in we try to win it. We have got to compete the best we can, whether that is the Champions League, the league, the League Cup or FA Cup,” said Robertson.
“I agree with the manager that whatever competition it is we should try to do our best and see where we are at the end of the season.”
