Joe Gomez in new contract talks with Liverpool

Joe Gomez is currently in new contract talks with Liverpool after an impressive start to the season, according to The Mirror.
Gomez is over the ankle injury which took away the opportunity for the Englishman to play in the Champions League final and travel to the World Cup last season.
That has allowed him to showcase his talent again which will see him sign a new deal to bring his wages into the same category as the other Anfield first-team stars.

Gomez signed from Charlton Athletic for a fee of £3.5million in the summer of 2015, and his current contract, which he signed January last year, still has four years left to run.
Liverpool are ultimately keen to reward the form he has shown in recent months for the club, which led to him being selected to represent England in the UEFA Nations League game against Spain last night, and the friendly against Switzerland on the Tuesday coming.
