Adam Lallana Fit to Face Huddersfield Town
The midfielder is back in training following his latest injury.
Following his latest frustrating injury setback, Adam Lallana is back in full training this week and the 30-year-old midfielder is expected to be fit to play a role against Huddersfield Town following the international break.
After missing the close of the 2016-17 season and much of 2017-18 dealing with a recurring hamstring injury, Lallana returned to action in pre-season over the summer only to suffer a groin strain at the start of September.
Lallana arrived at Anfield in 2014 having suffered just two injuries that forced him to miss a total of three months and 12 games across eight seasons for Southampton, a quite stellar injury record by any measure.
Since joining Liverpool, though, he’s been increasingly injury prone—particularly following the arrival of Jürgen Klopp—though whether that reflects the increased physical demands at the club or his increasing age is hard to say.
Since the start of the 2016-17 season, Lallana has missed missed more than eight months and 49 games with groin and hamstring problems. Hopefully, this time around, his return to fitness will stick.
