Chamberlain reveals ‘massive’ role Klopp has played in his injury recovery

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed how good Jurgen Klopp has been for him as he looks to return to playing after undergoing surgery in April on an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The former Arsenal man has already been on the sidelines for several months with no guarantee on when he will be able to return to the pitch but in a recent full length exclusive with LFCTV, Chamberlain has given fans an idea of how tough his recovery has been.
After completing a £35million move to Liverpool last summer, the midfielder took his time getting used to the Reds’ intense style of play before going on to be a crucial performer on the way to the Champions League final in Kiev last season.

“He’s been massive,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Liverpool’s TV channel. “Whenever I see him he’s always got a smile on his face.
“He’s really positive and keeps me in his thoughts and when he talks about the team he’ll mention me, which is obviously really nice, especially when the boys are doing so well.
“The important thing as well is that he’s given me time. He told me, ‘Look, we know how long this going to be, don’t worry about it, get yourself right and then we’ll go again’ which is really nice to hear.”
