Alexander-Arnold On “Great Role Model” Henderson

The young Scouser has big Liverpool plans.

While Liverpool fans want every player on the team to succeed, we all likely have a special place in our hearts for Trent Alexander-Arnold, the young Scouser who has worked his way up the ranks to become an integral part of the defense. Alexander-Arnold has the right combination of talent, professionalism, and character to endear him to the Liverpool faithful, in addition to him being the most exciting homegrown talent since Steven Gerrard.

And the Liverpool and England star has big plans for his own future in Red. He’s made no secret of the fact that he would one day like to captain the team. For now, though, he’s taking notes from Liverpool’s current captain, Jordan Henderson.

“He’s a great role model for everybody in the city,” Alexander-Arnold said. “Off the pitch, he’s quite quiet. As soon as he crosses that white line, he’s a different person, he’s very passionate. He’ll scream and shout and encourage, do everything he can to win.

“That’s something we all look up to as our captain, to lead us out on to the pitch, lead us to victory and that’s what he does. He’s a born winner.”

He added, “I want to become captain one day. That’s definitely a dream of mine. I hope with dedication, the right advice and the hard work that still needs to be put in that one day I might achieve that dream of becoming captain, something that me and my family will be very proud of if it comes.”
