Croatia coach to speak to Lovren following Ramos remarks

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic will have a word to Dejan Lovren after the defender lashed out at Sergio Ramos on Instagram following Croatia’s Nations League win over Spain.
Lovren is no doubt still upset about the events that took place in the Champions League final in Kiev last season, where Ramos deliberately harmed Mohamed Salah, and with that, ended Salah’s final within the first 25 minutes of the game.
Emotions were clearly running high after Croatia defeated Ramos’ Spain, and Lovren took to social media to tell the world exactly what he thought about the Spaniard.
The Croatian coach though will have a word with the Liverpool defender.
“I will talk personally with Dejan but that will stay between us in the squad,” Dalic said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.
“I do not want to speak publicly about it.”

Croatia are preparing to face England next in the Nations League, and when Harry Kane was asked about who he thought was the better defender between Lovren and Ramos, he did his best to avoid the question and not add more fuel to the fire.
“That’s not for me to compare the two,” Kane said.
“Obviously, I think Ramos’ record speaks for itself, the amount of trophies he’s won, the amount of big games he’s played.
“Of course Lovren is another fantastic defender and I look forward to going up against him tomorrow.
“It’s a matter of opinion, obviously [Lovren] has his opinion. Some players are more outspoken than others, but from my point of view it’s not to judge them but focus on myself and my team.”
