Match report: Liverpool 4-0 Bournemouth

Liverpool moved to the top of the Premier League with a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth in the weekend’s early kick-off.
Mohamed Salah bagged his second hat-trick for the Reds as the visiting side extended their unbeaten start to the league season to 16 matches.

The Egyptian opened the scoring in the 25th minute, when he was first to respond to Roberto Firmino’s shot from distance that was parried out by Asmir Begovic.
Salah pounced on the open ball and slotted home in clinical fashion to give Liverpool the lead, despite a hint of offside.
Firmino was the creator once again come the second-half, as he fed Salah who ran at the Bournemouth defence. Despite the best efforts of Steve Cook to stop last year’s Golden Boot winner, he continued his run into the Bournemouth box and fired home low and hard across Begovic for his second of the afternoon.
Andy Robertson had a hand in the third goal as he whipped in a typically fierce cross in the area, but credit had to be given to Cook for the goal as he turned the ball into his own net.
Salah then sealed his hat-trick ten minutes from time, showing great strength to get around Cook and fantastic composure as he rounded Begovic twice before slotting home past Nathan Ake on the line.
With Manchester City playing in the day’s late kick-off, the Reds will sit top of the table for at least a few hours.
