Craig Bellamy backs Manchester City to win the Premier League title

Craig Bellamy believes that despite the gap Liverpool have been able to create between themselves and Manchester City, the Citizens will still ultimately go on and win the Premier League title this season.

The Reds are currently seven points clear of Pep Guardiola’s side, and they have an opportunity to extend that gap come Thursday night when they face City at the Etihad Stadium.

Bellamy though is adamant that regardless of the result of Thursday’s fixture, Guardiola’s side cannot be ruled out of title talk.

“I don’t believe Liverpool will go unbeaten, they will lose one or two games, and I personally think Man City will win the league,” he told Sky Sports.

“I think Pep Guardiola would be rubbing his hands saying ‘game on – last year, we won it so comfortably, now let’s see what we’ve got’.

“They have a manager who is a serial winner so they have a lot of factors that they can look back on.

“With seven points to make up, especially over the Christmas period, you can get that back. Don’t write Man City off yet.”
