Rumour Mongering: Divock Origi to Fulham or Wolves
Liverpool aren’t actively shopping the striker but would be willing to let him leave today for the right price.
It’s transfer deadline day. For some clubs, that will mean a flurry of activity. For Liverpool, it means waiting to see where Ben Woodburn ends up on loan and whether Lazar Markovic gives up on the final six years of his contract to head to Mexico.
It could also, according to a smattering of reports doing the rounds thanks to The Express, mean a departure for Divock Origi, though finding a new home for their third-choice depth option at striker is not something the club are actively looking for.
Rather, if one of those other clubs—the ones doing the flurrying activity—is desperate enough to throw a big fee at them for him, Origi would be free to leave with Jürgen Klopp content to ride out the season with his other existing options.
Fulham and Wolverhampton are said to be the two sides that have shown interest in Origi, and while it doesn’t seem especially likely, a deal to take him to one of those before the end of the day isn’t outside the realm of possibility—for the right price.
