AS Roma starlet wants Liverpool to win the Premier League instead of City

Justin Kluivert wants his compatriots Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum to win the Premier League ahead of champions and leaders Manchester City.

The Reds restored positivity to the fanbase at the weekend with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth after back to back draws against Leicester City and West Ham.

Jurgen Klopp’s side has a game in hand over Pep Guardiola’s so they will have the opportunity to go back to the top of the table later this month if they can win all their games.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Patrick Kluivert’s son said he would prefer Liverpool to win the league because there are two Dutch players in the side.

“Well, in Liverpool they have two Dutch players of course, so for me Liverpool can win the title,” he said on Sky Sports.

“It’s a very big challenge for them because I think Manchester City are really putting the gas on the peddle.”
