Bayern Munich receive major injury boost ahead of crunch Liverpool clash
Manuel Neuer is likely to be fit to face Liverpool in the Champions League next week, Niko Kovac confirms.
The German goalkeeper was reportedly seriously injured, with reports from his homeland claiming he had torn ligaments supporting his right thumb and would require surgery.
With less than a week to go until the Reds face Bayern at Anfield, it seems as though Neuer will be in goal for the Bundesliga stalwarts.

Kovac told the press: “Manuel has not had any complaints, so he’s an option for Friday’s game again.
“Manuel is an ambitious goalkeeper, and those who have achieved so much must have a special ambition, and when you get there you have to do more than anyone else.
“So, the situation is not new to him. For the games he did not play, his only choice was his own decision. The player always has the last word and in this case Manuel is ready.”
