Liverpool linked with summer move for Italian striker

Lorenzo Insigne reportedly still trying to find an escape route from Napoli with Liverpool monitoring his situation, according to reports today.

Insigne is unsettled in Italy and is seeking a fresh challenge.

Recent reports have suggested that the striker’s agent has met with representatives of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis moved to dismiss suggestions that Insigne could leave, calling him a priceless asset.

It remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool will pursue a deal for the 27-year-old, but with Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi on the way out, Jurgen Klopp will be in the market for a new forward.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.
