Virgil van Dijk nominated for PFA Player of the Month award

Virgil van Dijk has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Month award for his displays during the month of February.

The Dutchman was instrumental in Liverpool sustaining their title challenge during February and while points were dropped against West Ham and Manchester United, the Reds didn’t suffer defeat once.

The no.4 helped his side keep three clean sheets and scored two goals in a 5-0 demolition of Watford at Anfield which sent a message to the rest of the Premier League, shouting from the rooftops that Liverpool are not feeling the pressure as some believe.

For his displays during the month of February, van Dijk has been nominated for the PFA Player of the Month award.

Also nominated are Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, Aymerick Laporte, Raheem Sterling, Burnley’s Ashley Barnes and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
