£40million Ryan Sessegnon would prefer Liverpool over Man United

Liverpool could hamper Manchester United’s potential move for Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon, according to the Express.

Sky Sports recently revealed that several clubs are keen to sign the 18-year-old but United are the only one to have made contact so far.

However, Liverpool could throw a spanner in the works if they decide to actively pursue the player themselves.

Sessegnon has supported Liverpool since he was a boy and favours a move to Anfield, if the possibility should arise.

Tottenham have also been heavily linked with a move for him, and could also pip United to the punch with the lure of Champions League football next season. He could also remain in London if he joins Spurs.

The defender has one year left on his contract at Craven Cottage but will undoubtedly push for a move away this summer with the club relegated to the Championship again.

Fulham value Sessegnon at around £40million.
