Liverpool reportedly agree deal for Polish goalkeeper

Liverpool have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Polish goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski, according to Football Insider.

The Reds have won the race to sign the 16-year-old, who is considered a rising star in his home country, after agreeing a £200,000 deal with Legia Warsaw.

United were also extremely keen on securing his signature but Liverpool pipped them to the deal, with Ojrzynski set to fly to Merseyside soon to put pen to paper on his new contract.

The Poland youth international is regarded by Liverpool as being capable of playing first-team football in the not-too-distant future.

He has previously participated in trials at Liverpool and Man United and is set to fight for a spot in the Under-18s and Under-23s.
