Rumour-Mongering: Paris Saint-Germain Target Roberto Firmino

PSG are said to be having a real think about Liverpool’s no. 9 and I bet they’re having a lot of fun doing it.

There will always be those that wish to destroy the harmonious vibes without the Liverpool squad now that our players are fucking giants. Jürgen Klopp has a seriously impressive group of footballers he’s managing and as the summer rolls in some big clubs are going to be linked with one or two by way of all manner of sources. Now, if you happened to see the headline, you’ll know where this is going.

Apparently, and who does he think he is?, Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel has included Roberto Firmino as a potential target.

David Ornstein, disclosed this information for BBC Sport somewhat reluctantly, perhaps, tacking it on to the end of string of paragraphs about potential Liverpool business over the summer.

“Among the players Paris St-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has eyes on is Roberto Firmino, but it’s not something the Reds would even consider,” wrote Ornstein.

Firmino would be on many manager’s fantasy transfer lists right now. He’s very, very good. So, it’s no surprise that with Edinson Cavani expected to leave behind Neymar forever, Tuchel will be on the lookout for a world-class replacement.

Bob’s deal runs out in 2023 and he recommitted to that extension in April 2018. Klopp doesn’t like to hand out individual praises, but the manager rarely turns his back on an opportunity to laud Firmino’s efforts after a match. The Brazilian is a vital asset to his manager and his team and Liverpool have shown that players who continue to excel will continue to be offered improved contracts.
