Klopp to Receive New and Improved Contract

It’s all coming up Liverpool.

Somehow, in the midst of all the hangovers that everyone is undoubtedly dealing with, we’ve managed to get news from the club that Liverpool (you know, the team that’s won the Champions League six times) want to extend Jurgen Klopp’s (you know, the manager that got us there) contract past 2022.

When asked previously about his contract and his time at Liverpool, Klopp has made it clear that he’s not looking much further than 2022. The German manager has said he’s satisfied with his current seven year contract that would match his time at Borussia Dortmund and Mainz.

However, given FSG have managed to get key players including Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, and Roberto Firmino to sign with the club until 2023, it seems entirely understandable that FSG would want to secure Klopp’s services for a longer period after Saturday’s performance.

“Jurgen is a brilliant coach but just as importantly he is a humble and caring man who is happy today because he knows what yesterday meant to our supporters,” club chairman Tom Werner said after Saturday night’s victory.

The manager has understandably become a cult hero in Liverpool and amongst fans globally, with his fervour and passion for the team only second to his utterly fantastic pressers and quotes (let’s talk about six, baby). Securing his future at the club, and the club’s future with him at the helm, should be a priority for FSG in the coming weeks.

Hopefully, someone can get him to sign a new contract before he falls off the parade bus.
